CORRUGATED FLEXIBLE GUARD OF VEHICLE GANGWAY Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: transport engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in articulated vehicles. Corrugated flexible guard 3 of intercar gangway contains envelope consisting of interconnected side, upper, lower and corner sections with common longitudinal corrugation-forming shape made of elastomer material, additional envelope installed with displacement relative to existing envelope and connected to the latter by means of variable-length tension to form double corrugated structure. Surfaces of corrugations of each envelope of guard are interconnected with provision of reserve of material to stretch corrugations. Curvilinear sections of corrugations of outer envelope are pointed outwards the gangway, and curvilinear sections of corrugations of inner envelope are pointed inwards the gangway. Resilient members are installed between corrugations of envelopes coaxially with cords. Guard can be made of two interchangeable semiguards connected by central frames.
