APPARATUS FOR ELECTROCHEMICAL PURIFICATION OF SEWAGE WATER Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: purification of industrial sewage water, in particular, sewage water of electroplating and nonferrous metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: apparatus has vertical cylindrical-conical vessel equipped with tangential sewage water feeding branch pipes arranged in upper part of vessel, feeding tangential branch pipe arranged in lower part of vessel and adapted for vortexing of electroplating mass to side opposite to direction of water flow delivered from above, detachable conical sludge head and inner drain branch pipe with grid. Drain branch pipe is arranged centrally of vessel. Hollow shaft located inside drain branch pipe is adapted for periodical supplying of sewage water and equipped with multiple-pipe anchor fixed at shaft end. Feeding tangential branch pipe has round or rectangular section. Drain branch pipe is positioned for movement in vertical plane and is connected with drain pipeline. Apparatus is provided with air supply injector positioned at bypass line between suction and pressure pipelines of centrifugal pump. Vessel has angle of taper of from 5 to 20 deg. Inner surface of cylindrical part of vessel has spiral channels oriented in direction opposite to direction of vortexing of flow.

EFFECT: increased efficiency in purifying of sewage water from nonferrous metal ions and coarse contaminants and simplified construction.
