METHOD FOR PROCESSING ORGANIC WASTE PRODUCTS Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: the present innovation deals with processing organic waste products, such as manure, poultry dung, wastes of field-crop cultivation and peat by obtaining organic fertilizers, liquid mineral supplements for plants and fodder products for farm animals and fish. The suggested method deals with mixing manure, peat and straw and loading the mixture obtained into separate open reservoirs to be installed into general chamber of fermentation at heating. In chamber mentioned one should keep increased temperature for fermentation of organic mixture due to action of thermophilic bacteria and enzymes at decreasing the temperature on finishing the processes of fermentation. Before being mixed with peat and manure the straw should be reduced to be steamed due to supply of live steam up to 50-55 C and addition of urea at periodic mixing and keeping for 15- 17 h. After that, liquid fraction is separated to be used as mineral supplement for plants, the rest steamed straw is directed into crusher-mixer at addition of manure and peat at the following ratio, weight%: steamed straw 30-40, manure 20-30, peat 40-50.
