METHOD OF ASSEMBLY OF THREADED PIPE STRINGS Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: oil and gas producing industry; applicable in lowering of strings of threaded pipes into wells. SUBSTANCE: method includes isolation of internal channel of lowered pipe before its introduction into zone of wellbore from connection with box thread of pipe box threaded end found in well for prevention of contamination of box thread with scale and other impurities falling down from internal wall of pipe lowered into well. Lowered pipe in vertical position is introduced in zone of wellbore, its pin threaded end is fitted into box threaded end of pipe found in well and their subsequent screwing together. Isolation is fulfilled by installation of plug into internal channel of lowered pipe from side of its pin threaded end, or by fitting of thin-walled sleeve onto thread of pin threaded end of lowered pipe. Thin-walled sleeve is made of material which may serve as lubricant in screwing together of pin and box threaded ends.
