FIELD: rocketry. SUBSTANCE: proposed method of combustion of solid-propellant rocket charge connected with housing comes to blanking one of axial holes of housing by cover, installing charge with channel filled with burning stabilizer with stopped hole pointed downwards in vertical position, and combustion of charge. Charge is secured by cover on support plate placed in pit in ground. Watertight casing is fitted on housing, casing being provided with drain holes in lower part and locks providing clearance between housing and casing. Charge with casing is buried with soil to level of casing upper edge, water is fed into clearance and charge is ignited. Invention makes it possible to reduce consumption of combustion products, probability of destruction if charge at combustion and zone of destructive action of explosion at possible disintegration of defective charge at testing.
