FIELD: electric power generation. SUBSTANCE: converter has water-filled tank with drum immersed therein and divided into a number of float-boxes; fixed hollow shaft with hub, supports, and holes; pipe connections. In addition it is provided with cam and taper gears for imparting rotary motion to generator; one of vertical walls of tank has window sealed with tape. Each float-box accommodates flaps preventing its ahead-of-time filling with water; drum is closed at butt-ends with disks attached to hub mounted for rotation in bearings which are sealed by means of glands and disposed on hollow fixed shaft with hole provided at bottom to pass low-pressure steam and air fed to hollow fixed shaft mounted on supports to pipe connections provided on one end with sealing tip sliding over hollow fixed shaft surface, other end being welded to holes in bottom part of float- boxes whereto low-pressure steam or air is admitted, while displacing water therefrom, through rectangular holes sealed with tapes over perimeter and closed by valves; these valves are hinged on one end with one side of these holes and on other end they are hinged together to one end of pushers passed through holes, seals being fitted in hub and in bottom part of float-boxes; on other end pushers are sliding over cam surface; pushers are provided with annular stops for springs abutting on one end against these annular stops and on other end, against bottom surface of float- boxes to function as reciprocating mechanisms of these valves.
