FIELD: nuclear power engineering. SUBSTANCE: sacrificial layer material designed for reducing environmental aftereffects of severe accident and for immobilizing radionuclides is composed of mixture of calcium, aluminum, titanium, and barium oxides. Proportion of material ingredients is as follows, mass percent: TiO2, 22.53-24.70; ZrO2, 52.7-56.80; Al2O3, 11.04-12.1; CaO, 3.68-4.00; BaO, 5.93-6.50. Sacrificial layer material immobilizes fissional products into materials showing high stability with time.
