FIELD: medicine, surgery. SUBSTANCE: access is conducted to organs of abdominal cavity. Treitz' ligament is dissected. Inferior mesenteric vein is taken onto a holder to fix it at the site of its entrance into portal vein. Peritoneum is dissected above aorta and left common iliac artery. One should carry out aortoiliac lymphadenectomy along with lymphodissection. Inferior mesenteric artery is tightened at the site of its branching from aorta. Inferior mesenteric vein is crossed. Left half of large intestine is mobilized to carry out large intestinal resection. Anastomosis should be applied between the rest fragments of large intestine and rectum.
