FIELD: petroleum processing. SUBSTANCE: invention is designed for processing mazut, scavenge motor or lubricating oils, oil slimes, etc. Method comprises feeding raw material into processing zone, affecting it by wave energy by creating wide frequency spectrum from acoustic to light region in medium being processed, and subjecting affected products to thermal cracking under primary petroleum processing conditions to produce final products from vapor phase. Thermal cracking is carried out at atmosphere pressure and maximum heating temperature 360 C. Installation includes, communicating with each other, (i) raw material treatment apparatus constructed in the form of working space of generator and acoustic oscillation emitter, and electromagnetic oscillation emitter with emitting antenna, and (ii) final product isolation apparatus. Emitting antenna is constructed in such a way that it emits wide frequency band in medium under treatment. Final product isolation apparatus contains cracking reservoir for affection products connected to reflux condenser-distiller and accumulating containers for cracking final product and residual products.
