FIELD: protection against corrosion of outer surfaces of metallic structures exploited, possibly periodically in natural media such as ship bodies in sea water. SUBSTANCE: system includes controlled DC power source whose negative terminal is connected with body of ship, positive terminal is connected with anode and inlet is connected with outlet of control unit. First and second inlets of control unit are connected respectively with body of ship and with source for setting protective potential. System also includes additional source for setting protective potential connected with first inlet of regulator of source for setting protective potential. Second inlet of said regulator is connected with body of ship and its outlet is connected with inlet of source for setting protective potential. System includes main and limiting reference electrodes and it is provided in addition with backup main and limiting reference electrodes and with amplifiers whose number is equal to that of reference electrodes. System has units for connecting main and limiting reference electrodes; outlets of said units are connected respectively with third inlets of control unit and regulator of source for setting potential. Inlets of said units are connected through amplifiers with reference electrodes. EFFECT: enhanced operational reliability and efficiency of system. 1 dwg
