FIELD: payment transactions.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for performing a payment transaction using the software of instant message and file exchange systems. In the method, a request is formed on a user device containing search criteria for goods and/or services; the request is transmitted to a seller's server via the software of instant message and file exchange systems installed on the user device; data identifying the goods and/or services is formed on the seller's server and transferred to the user device via the software of instant message and file exchange systems; a list of selected goods and/or services is formed on the user device for placing an order and making a purchase; the list of goods and/or services is sent to cash register equipment using the software of instant message and file exchange systems; the payment is performed on cash register equipment with the subsequent formation of a cash receipt and saving of payment data in a fiscal data storage device for subsequent transfer to a fiscal data operator.
EFFECT: automation of the payment transaction.
