FIELD: data media; optical-disk read-out systems, their simulation and analyses. SUBSTANCE: proposed method characterized in effective procedures of simulating signals for different types of disks, analyses, and choice of optimal sets of parameters involves following procedures: signal read out of optical disk is simulated by determining laser radiation signal reflected from disk incorporating data items of layer being recorded and diffracted on spatial structure of recorded-layer data items; signal read out of optical disk is evaluated by computing intensity of complete reflected signal and its summing up within entrance pupil of sensing head; changes in signal obtained are determined within time interval for particular set of optical-disk parameters and data items of recorded layer; parameters of signal obtained are evaluated and upon finding signal parameters keeping within permissible limits set of optical-disk and recorded-layer data-item parameters are memorized. Processing is repeated for other sets of parameters wherefrom parameter meeting desired optimization criterion is chosen. EFFECT: enhanced speed of evaluating optimal parameters of optical disk. 11 cl, 5 dwg
