METHOD FOR TREATING PARODONTITIS Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: medicine, namely complex treatment of patients suffered from parodontitis. SUBSTANCE: method is realized due to combined action of application of drug preparation onto diseased zones and irradiation of said zones by means of semiconductor laser with output 5 - 6 Wt in pulse mode with frequency 1.5 -4.0 Hz and exposure 2 - 5 min for one zone. Method comprises steps of preliminarily injecting under mucous integument of porodontium tissue of one diseased zone 0.7 -1.7 ml of solution of venotropic drug preparation selected from group of angioprotectors; realizing irradiation by means of laser beam at above mentioned mode in limits of injection field; then performing application with use of gel of the same pharmacological action onto remaining diseased zones; performing similarly next procedure at changing injection field at the same parameters of laser irradiation; carrying out 6 - 10 procedures depending upon severeness degree of disease.
