FIELD: production of defensive weapons, exploration of the large-scale fuel-air clouds burning may be used in the defensive technics production for making the volumetric - detonating systems (VDS) ammunition of the volumetric explosions (VE), and also in the technics of civil destination for fighting the volatile insects - pests (locust) and in the test technics for modeling emergency situations at the chemical productions. SUBSTANCE: the method presents the way to form and use an explosion of the fuel-air cloud, that includes an explosive dispersion of the liquid fuel in the air with formation of a fuel-air cloud after explosion of a charge and initiation of explosion of the fuel-air cloud. As the liquid fuel they use the liquefied hydrocarbon. Initiation of the liquid fuel-air-slaked cloud explosion is exercised by an explosive dispersion of a superfine powder of combustible metals in the fuel-air cloud, at that dispersion of the liquid fuel and the highly dispersive powder of the combustible metals is made simultaneously at concentration of the liquid fuel in the fuel-air- cloud sufficient for implementation of setting on the fire, and using the liquid coolant they lowered the temperature of the explosion products of an explosive charge. The invention is directed to make a simple, safe and reliable and serially realized method of formation and an explosion of a fuel-air cloud. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 1 dwg, 2 ex
