FIELD: salvaging of armaments, applicable for extraction of explosives from ammunition bodies, as well as from solid-propellant jet engines, cumulative perforators, jet casing cutters, etc. SUBSTANCE: at salvaging of ammunition fitted with a solid propellant charge by the effect of shock wave formed at an explosion of fuel gas mixture surrounding the ammunition and being under the preset initial pressure the crushed mass is extracted. The initial pressure of fuel gas mixture is determined according to the dependence of the parameters of its detonation on the parameters of the initial state by the known procedure. Besides, the effect is accomplished repeatedly. The device for realization of this method has an explosion chamber hermetically joined to a bedplate communicating with the receiving section via a through hole and furnished with valves, component for initiation of mixture detonation and a gas valve for release of the explosion products, and an assembly for attachment of ammunition to the bedplate.
