TWO-COMPONENT PRIMING COMPOSITION Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: polymers. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to compositions of anticorrosion and protective coatings based on epoxy resin. Two-component priming composition comprises component A epoxy base including suspension of filling agents and pigments in mixture with bisphenol A glycidyl esters and active diluting agents, amine modifying agent and organic solvent. Indicated epoxy base is hardened with component B amine hardener including amine from the group: triethylenetetraamine, adduct of formaldehyde, phenol and ethylenediamine or their mixture, epoxy modifying agent and organic solvent. The definite ratio of components of priming composition provides drying time "up to tackiness", 40-52 min; swelling in water, 1.4-1.9 wt.-%; resistance to cathode exfoliation, 7-10 cm². Invention can be used as priming layer or independent coating for steel articles, in part, pipes, shut-off fittings, different capacities working both in open air and underground.
