FIELD: manufacture of superhard materials such as cubic crystals of boron nitride for using in tool making and metal working industry branches. SUBSTANCE: method is realized due to action of high pressure and high temperature corresponding to stability region of cubic crystals of boron nitride upon mixture of graphite like boron nitride with conversion initiator - particles of metallic magnesium while using graphite like boron nitride with additive of borate of sodium or potassium or mixture of their borates with total quantity consisting 0.1 - 10% of mass of graphite like boron nitride and using as conversion initiator particles of metallic magnesium coated with solid layer of magnesium hydroxide.
