FIELD: gas analysis, detection of microimpurities of various substances in gases, gas chromatography. SUBSTANCE: ionic mobility spectrometer comprises ion-formation chamber and drift chamber and can be used in gas chromatography as sensitive detector. Ion-formation chamber is made of dielectric, has hole for injection of analyzed substance in mixture with carrier gas into ionization zone, hole for discharge of drift gas and mixture of analyzed substance with carrier gas. Chamber also houses pushing electrode presenting nickel or stainless steel plate, disk on which surface facing pushing electrode radioactive preparation is applied. Disk has hole where grid gate is fixed. Drift chamber is fabricated from dielectric and has hole for injection of drift gas. Drift chamber houses aperture grid and ion collector. Homogeneous electric field in zone of drift is formed by guarding rings insulated one from another with dielectric bushings.
