FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to powder metallurgy, particularly, to materials intended for production of foamed aluminium sheets. It may be used in civil and road construction, ship and aircraft building, automotive industry, machine building, etc. Two steel or aluminium rolled strips, fed uniformly, are used to produce envelopment. Note here that first rolled strip is used to produce envelopment lower section. Envelopment inner space is filled with mix of aluminium powder is performed in imposing envelopment upper part on its lower part and compacting to 1.5-1.9 g/cm3. Then blank is folded and heated in through-type furnace to at least 500°C, compaction is performed in roll closed pass and blank is cut to preset-length sheet blanks. Sheet blank is subjected to high-temperature treatment to allow foaming. Proposed process line comprises pre-compaction mechanism incorporates with powder filling device.

EFFECT: production of high-quality foamed aluminium sheets, higher safety.
