SEALING UNIT FOR MOUTH Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: equipment employed to seal mouth of hole while conducting repair work. SUBSTANCE: sealing unit for mouth has body, metal framework in the form of split ring. Metal framework is coupled to packer pressed from above by cover. Packer leans against ring protrusion in axial conduit of body and its lower part has flipper embracing ring protrusion and bushing. Packer comes in the for of upper and lower circular collars. Metal framework is installed between upper and lower ring collars. Holes are made in cover, circular collars, split ring and ring protrusion of body. Studs with circular heads in center parts are passed through holes and enter opposite bores made in split ring. EFFECT: prolonged service life of sealing unit. 3 dwg
