FIELD: automotive industry. SUBSTANCE: proposed lubrication system has oil container, main and auxiliary oil pumps with delivery branch pipes connected with oil main line, housing divided into two spaces by diaphragm coupled with regulating plunger installed in delivery branch pipe of auxiliary oil pump, one of spaces communicating with atmosphere, and the other, with oil main line. Oil pump drive is made in form of differential mechanism. Toothed rim installed on differential mechanism housing is in meshing with gear set into rotation by engine crankshaft. Driven gears of differential mechanism are in meshing with driving gears of oil pump. Geometric parameters of oil pump are selected to provide delivery of oil at equal rotational speeds with ratio 2:1. With engine shut down, regulating plunger disconnects delivery branch pipe from oil main line, thus making oil pump hydraulically closed. At starting, differential mechanism provides braking of driving gear of auxiliary oil pump, and driving gear of main oil pump rotates quickly providing intensive filling of oil main line with oil. When normal oil pressure is built in oil main line, regulating plunger opens channel of delivery branch pipe, driving gear gets unlocked, and oil pump starts delivering oil into oil main line. Rotational speed of driving gear is reduced proportionally, and delivery of main oil pump is decreased. This leads to pressure drop in oil main line, displacement of regulating plunger for closing channel of delivery branch pipe, change of rotational speed of housing of differential mechanism with resulting increase in rotational speed of driving gear and delivery of oil pump with compensation for oil drop in oil main line. Proposed lubrication system provides constant oil pressure in oil main line at any engine speed owing to different delivery of main and auxiliary oil pumps and variable rotational speed of driving gear of main oil pump and, consequently, pump delivery without use of additional units and special working liquid other than those used in lubrication system.
