FIELD: armament and military equipment, in particular, protection of fighting vehicle against means of air attack, for example, with the aid of machine-gun (gun) mountings. SUBSTANCE: the method consists in detection and identification of the target, selection of the respective target aspect ring depending on the target speed and aspect angle, matching of the target image with the selected target aspect ring with the aid of the control panel with simultaneous direction of motion of the target image inside the ring, depression of the firing button on the control panel at a simultaneous keeping of the laying point on the target, firing. According to the invention, prior to the selection of the aspect ring, the target is tracked, removing the signals of angular velocity from the angular velocity transmitters and the target range from the range finder incorporated in the sighting- navigation system of the fighting vehicle, and just after removal of the range signal the target aspect angle speed is determined proceeding from the mathematical relationship, and the position of the point of laying is selected with due account made for the computed value of the aspect angle speed. According to the invention, the motion of the target image is also directed to the intersection of the horizontal line corresponding to the range of fire with the vertical axis, the range of fire is determined from the mathematical relationships. According to the invention, the method also includes the target detection and identification, selection of the respective aspect ring depending on the target speed and aspect angle matching of the target image with the selected aspect ring with the aid of the control panel with simultaneous direction of the target image motion inside the ring, depression of the firing button on the control panel at a simultaneous keeping of the laying point on the target, firing. After detection and identification of the target first the target is tracked by the reticule of the aspect ring sight, removing the signals of angular velocity from the angular velocity transmitters and the target range from the range finder incorporated in the sighting-navigation system of the fighting vehicle, and the target speed is determined proceeding from the mathematical relationships, and before firing and during firing only the target range is measured and the aspect angle speed is determined from the mathematical relationship, where the closing rate is determined with the aid of a differentiating ripple filter by range measurements. According to the invention, the known firing system of the fighting vehicle against air targets, containing the sighting-navigation system including the aspect ring sight, sight-device of the layer, range finder, as well as the device of the operator- layer with the layer's control panel, whose first-second outputs are connected respectively to the first-second inputs of the power drives, whose first-second outputs are connected to the gun or machine-gun mounting, additionally used are a computer and an indicator, the first-third inputs of the computer are connected to the outputs of the sighting-navigation system, and its output is connected to the input of the indicator, whose output is connected to the aspect ring sight. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of firing of the fighting vehicle against a high-speed air target by enhancing the accuracy of firing. 5 cl, 6 dwg, 1 tbl
