FIELD: armament and military equipment, in particular, protection of the fighting vehicle against the air attack weapon, for example, with the aid of machine gun (gun) mounts. SUBSTANCE: the method consists in detection and identification of the target, target tracking by the aspect sight with introduction of a lead by selection of the aiming point inside the respective aspect ring, firing. Target tracking is conducted by picking up the signals of angular velocity off the angular velocity sensors and the target range off the range finder included in the sighting-navigation system of the fighting vehicle, and the lead is introduced automatically calculating the kinematic lead angles from the preset mathematic relations over the horizontal and vertical channels. According to the invention, after detection and identification of the target, the target is tracked by the reticule of the aspect sight, picking up the signals of angular velocity off the angular velocity sensors and the target range off the range finder included in the sighting-navigation system of the fighting vehicle, and the current kinematic lead angles are determined proceeding from the preset mathematic relations over the horizontal and vertical channels. During the time preset before the beginning of fire required for throw-over of the weapon to the lead angles, target tracking comes to an end by the overlap of the sight, and the angles are followed up, and further during firing tracking of the lead point is conducted by the barrels, constantly turning them aside from the sighting line. According to the invention, the known system of firing at an air target, containing a sighting-navigation system including an aspect sight, sight-instrument of the controller, range finder, gyrotachometers of training and elevation, as well as an operator-controller with a controller's control panel, whose first and second outputs are connected respectively to the first and second inputs of the power drives, and the third and fourth inputs-respectively to the gyrotachometers of training and elevation, the outputs of the power drives are connected to the gun or machine gun mount, additionally uses a computer and a device of visualization of the necessary lead of the barrels, the first-third inputs of the computer are connected to the outputs of the sighting-navigation system of the fighting vehicle, and its first-second outputs are connected to the first-second inputs of the device of visualization of the necessary lead of the barrels, whose first-second outputs are connected to the aspect sight.
