FIELD: electrical engineering; dual-speed drives for material handling machinery, rotary washing machines, concrete trucks, and the like. SUBSTANCE: orbital geared (mainly face-type) motor has internal and external wound stators, block of two carrier-mounted orbital squirrel-cage rotors, braking device incorporating brake coil interacting with spring-loaded brake core and provided with strap and disk mounted in bearing, as well as flange and frame. Novelty is that rotor block is provided with magnetic core carrying additional winding and disposed in rotor-to-rotor space; additional winding leads are connected to slip-ring assembly that has flange-mounted current-collecting device with brushes and carrier-mounted slip rings; rotors are mechanically coupled through closed flexible member.
