METHOD FOR SURGICAL TREATING TRAUMATIC RUPTURES OF EYEBALL'S VASCULAR MEMBRANE Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: medicine, ophthalmology. SUBSTANCE: one should make incision in inferiorexternal quadrant of eyeball, conjunctiva and Tenon's capsule to form a tunnel in projection above macular area up to posterior ocular pole. Elastic magnetic implant is placed in the tunnel at diametral degree of magnetization to be 5-10 mTl tension, supplied with filamentous conductor. External impact is made onto a magnet with either unmovable or rotating magnetic field at 0.1-0.5 Tl induction on the second-fourth day after operation. The method enables to accelerate resorption of vascular membrane edema and subretinal hemorrhages, prevent the development of coarse proliferative process and, thus, restore and keep visual functions.
