FIELD: recreation. SUBSTANCE: the swing has a base, drive, member carrying the passenger seats made with a ring rim engageable with a drive, which enhances the drive efficiency and improves the dynamics. In both modifications for the method of swinging of the swing the driving member of the drive exerts forces to the driven member alternately in opposite directions. In the first modification of method engaged with each other. After every cycle of transmission of force and/or during transmission of force slowing down of motion of the driven member is determined, and the transmitted force is zeroed. In the second modification the transmission of force is interrupted before the change of the direction of its transmission by disengagement of the driving and driven members. Before every cycle of transmission of force the acceleration of the driven member is determined, and the driven and driving members get engaged at an equality of their linear velocities in the point of engagement.
