FIELD: chemical industry and nuclear engineering; applicable in production of heat carriers for fast-neutron reactors. SUBSTANCE: used for the purpose is inorganic sorbent in form of defective aluminum hydroxide produced by mechanical activation of aluminum hydroxide or by intercalation-deintercalation of lithium salts into aluminum hydroxide. Method includes placing of weighed portion of defective aluminum hydroxide into retort with solution of lithium hydroxide containing isotopes 6Li and 7Li.; holding for 1h at 70C; separation of solid phase and washing on filter; combining of filtrate and washing water and their evaporation; drying of washed solid phase; deintercalation of lithium from solid phase for 30 min at 95-98C; evaporation of obtained lithium chloride solution; determination of isotope composition of evaporated solutions.
