FIELD: cartridges for ink ribbons applicable, particularly, in line thermal printers. SUBSTANCE: cartridge includes body main part supporting for rotation of feed core and take- up core, with ribbon ends wound round said cores. Cartridge also has ribbon- guide member extending to one side from cartridge body main part and having, on one side, surface of sliding contact with ribbon, unit for ribbon turning upward made on front end of ribbon-guide member, and formed by rotating roller due to which friction resistance of ink ribbon turning upward in turning unit is reduced. Apart of it, body main part includes holder having ribbon-guide member and supporting feed core and take-up core and body member supporting holder and holding feed and take-up cores so as to close them from outside. EFFECT: reduced resistance forces in ribbon transfer and simplified operations involved in cartridge assembly. 16 cl, 19 dwg
