FIELD: production of benzoyl peroxide by interaction of benzoyl chloride and hydrogen peroxide in aqua-alkali medium at mixing and cooling. SUBSTANCE: process is performed in continuous circulation of mixture through reaction zone and cooling zone. Subjected to circulation is liquid phase of reaction mixture after separation of solid phase by filtration. Device proposed for realization of this method includes reactor with agitator and cooling jacket, reagent supply unit, circulating pump, cooler and filter.
