METHOD FOR OPTIMIZING TREATMENT TACTICS IN THE CASES OF INFANTINE LYMPHOGRANULOMATOSIS Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

Abstract RU 2218861 C2

FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves detecting unfavorable factor influence like patient age from 10 years, availability of 4 and more injured zones, dimensions of injured lymph nodes conglomerate sized greater than 5 cm, biological stage b, availability of common symptoms B and IV stage of the disease. Sum of revealed unfavorable factors is used for defining three risk groups with total general dose of irradiation in injured zones being equal to 25-30 Gr in all patient groups reaching remission as a result of polychemotherapy. Two polychemotherapy cycles are administered in the first group when 0-2 factors are revealed. Four polychemotherapy cycles are administered in the second group when 3 factors are revealed. More 2 cycles are applied after 4 polychemotherapy cycles are administered in the third group when 4-6 factors are revealed. Partial remission being achieved, the second line chemotherapy is to be administered or high dose chemotherapy followed by peripheral stem cell transplantation. EFFECT: lower treatment loading applied to growing organism. 2 tbl
