ULTRASONIC METHOD FOR PREDICTING NON-HODGKIN'S LYMPHOMA TREATMENT Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

Abstract RU 2211665 C2

FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves carrying out ultrasonic monitoring at different stages of antitumor treatment. Intensive mixed blood circulation with angioarcitectonics being formed is to be detected in patients suffering from blast lymphomas distinguished by conglomerate type of initially hardly treatable abdominal lymph nodes injury. Clinical criteria of unfavorable prognosis based on neoangiogenesis type are formulated. Low intensity mixed and peripheral blood circulation being found to occur, favorable disease course is to be predicted. Indolent lymphoma cases with abdominal node injuries characterized by iso- and hyperechogenous nodes reduced in size with avascular blood circulation or with hypovascular peripheral blood circulation remaining after the third and the fourth chemotherapy treatment course being observed, favorable disease progress prognosis is to be given. Remaining hyperechogenous nodes reduced in size to some extent with visualized hypovascular peripheral blood circulation pattern being found in such patients, unfavorable prognosis is to be given. EFFECT: reliable data usable for varying treatment strategy in due time. 5 dwg
