FIELD: chemical, petroleum, gas and other industries; synthetic gas processing. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the design of a tubular type reactor for processing of synthesis gas. The reactor may be used in chemical, petroleum, gas and other industries. The structure of the catalytic reactor for the synthesis gas processing has a housing, the bottom, a cover, heat exchange tubes and reaction tubes with the loaded catalytic agent, and also connecting pipes for admission and removal of the reagents and heat-transfer agent. The catalytic reactor structure forms a contour of natural circulation of the heat-transfer agent, that includes the heat exchange tubes mounted inside the reaction tubes, and space between the reaction tubes filled with the heat- transfer agent. At that the open ends of the heat exchange tubes are passing through walls of the reaction tubes in the intertubular space. Diameter of the heat exchange tubes is chosen from 1/3 up to 1/4 of the inner radius of the reaction tube, and the ends of the heat exchange tubes are led out into the intertubular space through a wall of a reaction tube and supply with compensatory bends with a radius of 1/2-1/3 inner radius of the reaction tubes. Heat exchange tubes are additionally provided with the ribs, the middle part of which is fixed to the external surface of the heat exchange tubes along all their length. At that one part of a rib with the length equal to 1/2-2/3 of the length of the arc between the neighboring heat exchange tubes is positioned equidistant to the inside surface of the reaction tube, and the other part of the rib with the length equal to 2/3-3/4 of the inside radius of the reaction tube is bent to the center of the reaction tube with a bending radius 1/2-1/3 of the inside radius of the reaction tube.
