FIELD: technological processes in machine engineering, namely apparatuses for strengthening parts of steels and alloys by surface plastic deforming. SUBSTANCE: multirod apparatus includes housing; deforming tool; hydraulic cylinder for static loading, cylinder with piston-striker, hydropneumatic pressure accumulator communicated with rod cavity of cylinder; rotating distributor with row of pressure and draining windows shifted one relative to another; small turbine for rotating rotor of distributor. Deforming tool is in the form of block of waveguides including rods with striker step and contact deforming steps. End surface of step is shaped, for example it is spherical one. All waveguides have the same length L2 or in center of waveguide block may be placed guiding rod with length taking no part in transmitting impact energy to blank. Waveguides of cylindrical block may be in the form of cylinders with diameter in cross section of striker step and contact step D21 and D22. respectively. Block of waveguides may be rectilinear. Waveguides are in the form of cylinders with diameter of cross section of contact step d22 = D22/(1+1/sin(2π/n) (where n - quantity of waveguides in block) and with rotation axes arranged along perimeter of circle with diameter (D22-d22), In center of block there is guiding rod with diameter (D22-2•d22)>d22. Waveguides may be in the form of rods profiled as ring sectors with central angle α≤π, In center of block there is guiding cylindrical rod with diameter equal to inner diameter of ring. Waveguides of cylindrical and rectilinear blocks are in the form of rods profiled as polyhedrons. EFFECT: enlarged using range of strengthening process with enhanced efficiency. 8 cl, 6 dwg
