CLAMP FOR MULTIFILAMENT WIRES OF CONTACT SYSTEM AND METHOD OF ITS MAKING Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: railway transport. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to clamps for connecting and/or fastening of multifilament wires and method of making the clamps. Proposed clamp contains pads with contact surfaces and bolt joints. Pads are made of composite powder material based on iron with additional of copper, nickel, phosphorus and carbon at th3e following ratio of components, mass %: iron 92.9-96.0; copper 2.0-4.0; nickel 1.0-2.0; phosphorous 0.2-0.5; carbon 0.5- 0.6. Contact surface of pads is made of copper or copper alloy powder. Method of making the clamp consisting of pads and bolt joints includes molding of pad blanks by initial filling-in first layer powder and subsequent filling-in second layer powder with final combined pressing of both layers, their sintering and cooling. Method includes also forming of preset profile of pad surfaces after filling-in powder of first and second layers whose mass ratio is 80-85% and 15-20%, respectively, and anticorrosive coating of ready pads.
