FIELD: organic chemistry, chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method for preparing cumene hydroperoxide that involves the continuous an aqueous-emulsion oxidation of cumene at increased temperature and pressure in cascade of reactors in the presence of ammonia. Process is carried out in the presence of mixture consisting of ammonium salt an aqueous solution (for example, ammonium hydrocarbonate, ammonium carbonate, ammonium carbamate or their mixture) in the concentration 0.001-0.5 wt.-% and ammonium an aqueous solution in the concentration 0.001-0.5% that is fed to each oxidation reactor in the mass ratio ammonia : ammonium salt = from 1:100 to 100: 1. Method can be used in the field of petrochemical synthesis. EFFECT: enhanced selectivity, simplified process. 2 cl, 1 tbl, 7 ex
