FIELD: metallurgy; particularly, thermal treatment of hollow articles or pipes. SUBSTANCE: Device for quenching pipes contains sections of outside water sprayers with articulated water inputs, sections of water-and-air sprayers with water input in the form of flexible hose and articulated inputs for compressed air installed in line with articulated water inputs, and one inside water sprayer installed concentric with outside water sprayers and made in the form of telescope-like installed body and hollow rod and collecting pipe with holes for water supply connected with rod, and transport wheel drive rollers. Sections of outside water sprayers and sections of water-and-air sprayers are fastened with the help of brackets on articulated water and compressed air inputs rested on posts which are installed on foundation. Device for quenching pipes allows quenching of pipes out of various steel grades to be carried out in one thermal department along outside as well as along inside diameter with appropriate speed of quenching owing to combination of various kinds of sprayers and usage of articulated inputs for water and compressed air.
