FIELD: city public services, cleaning of river beds within precincts of city, extermination of sludge from settling tanks of systems of city sewage purification works and enterprises and annihilation of dumping grounds. SUBSTANCE: process includes division of river into lengths, removal of bottom deposits and discharge of redundant water. Cleaning of river begins from source by division of length of bed of river into sections with the aid of temporary dams set laterally from bank to bank, their number being six or more. Isolated section, last down-stream in divided length, is utilized as barrier to prevent break- through of water from above and to conduct preparatory work for cleaning of river surface. Next section, upstream of last, is employed for development and removal of bottom deposits. Third section is intended to wash boulders and gravel from sludge and to accumulate pulp. Fourth section is employed to separate sand from pulp. Fifth section is used to settle water and remnants of sludge. Sixth section is meant to form new bottom from boulders, gravel and sand and to fill it with technically clear water. Products of removal of bottom deposits are washed of sludge with subsequent decontamination in apparatuses of activation of processes and harmful components are extracted from mixture of compounds. Large boulders, gravel and sand washed from sludge are laid on cleaned bottom of river. All products of processing of bottom deposits, except scrap and mixture of compounds of heavy metals, are used again to form length of new bottom of river cleaned from sludge beforehand. Demountable sectional trough is employed for passage of redundant water and additional pump and water conduit located in parallel with trough are utilized to compensate for volley discharge of water into river. EFFECT: removal of deposits from river, their processing prevents harmful components from hitting water again, reduction of bulk transportation of products of bottom processing, avoidance of usage of containers, no necessity in allotment of land lots for storage of products of river cleaning. 3 cl, 2 dwg
