FIELD: elimination of water and gas shows and increased output of pools during drilling and running of oil, gas and injection wells. SUBSTANCE: invention makes it feasible to solve problem of shut-off of pool under conditions of any conductive non-uniformity with simultaneous saving of total amount of injected grouting material. Process of shut-off of water and gas inflows in well includes injection of gel-forming compounds with different rheological characteristic into pool in batches. Between batches of gelforming compounds with invariable time of gel formation there is injected batch of gel-forming compound with gel formation time greater than time of its injection from well-head to pool but less than time of gel formation and injection of batch of gelforming compound with invariable time of gel formation. Gel-forming compounds which additionally contain mud grouting particles can be used too. Preliminary injection of mud grouting compound is also possible. EFFECT: increased quality of water and gas shut-off operations under conditions of inhomogeneous permeability of pool with simultaneous saving of insulating compounds. 3 cl
