FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to lifting and transportation machinery, namely, to hydraulic cylinders designed for lifting, lowering or extending load booms of crane-andmanipulator plants. Proposed hydraulic cylinder contains housing with detachable through cover and tubular end connector with sliding bearings press-fitted from both sides, one-sided hollow rod with piston and end connector similar to that of housing, supporting-and-sealing members of movable and fixed joints, mud scraper and channels to feed working liquid provided with threaded connecting unions. Design of tubular end connectors in hydraulic cylinder is optimized by replacing angular weld joints of end connectors with housing and rod by buttjoined welds and threaded connection. Piston is made integral with rod. Owing to optimization of design, conditions of lubrication of sliding bearings, and splitting and connection of working liquid feed pipelines to threaded unions are improved and provision is made for mounting protection and control unit on hydraulic cylinder. EFFECT: simplified design of hydraulic cylinder, decreased overall dimensions, facilitated assembling and disassembling. 8 cl, 9 dwg
