FIELD: construction engineering; operation and repair of pipe lines having non-through corrosion defects on outer surfaces. SUBSTANCE: adhesive primer is applied on prepared outer surface of pipe and coupling is secured on it; coupling consists of several layers of glass tape which are connected with adhesive layer embracing pipe line over circumference. Coupling has two separate molded halves with hinges at their ends. Both halves of polymer coupling are fitted on pipe in heated state at coinciding of holes of hinges, after which hinges are secured by means of insertion axles.
