FIELD: geophysics. SUBSTANCE: electromagnetic field is excited when passing periodic sequence of alternate square-shaped current pulses through tested medium. The first and the second potential difference is measured by means of measuring electrodes. The first harmonics are separated from sample of given differences for two time intervals, which don-t overlap - for the first and the second in pauses between current pulses. Parameter to be mapped is calculated from the relation, given in the description of the invention. EFFECT: improved sensitivity; improved resolution; improved noise immunity. 1 dwg
