FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves recording patient body trunk surface image frames in waling. Given shape and spatial orientation parameters values are determined from the obtained frames. Patient is placed on running track in walking. Structured image mainly represented by optically contrasting parallel strips is to be projected over the trunk surface under study. Image frames are to be recorded in continuous manner in digital form at given rate. Three-dimensional digital shape model of trunk surface under study is to be recovered. The so built models are used for determining trunk shape and spatial orientation parameters. Before recording, anatomical reference objects are marked by setting markers manufactured from light-reflecting film, the markers being illuminated during recording.
