FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, particularly to orthopedics, and can be applied in vertebral deformation treatment. Method is based on computer processing of digital images of patient, obtained by digital camera (photographic camera) in three projections - direct dorsal, left lateral and direct frontal. Seven point markers are put on the patient's back along spine beforehand. Markers are placed at approximately equal distance from each other. Marker positions are determined by touch, according to acanthas. Obtained digital images are stored at PC. Marker identification is performed by operator. Coordinates obtained by identification are used in mathematic spatial model. Processing results in obtainment of three-dimensional schematic spine view with deviation figures indicated by size and angles. Scoliosis, lordosis and kyphosis grades are determined by the figures.

EFFECT: early diagnostics of vertebral deformations in frontal, horizontal and sagittal planes, monitoring, elimination of the need to perform X-ray examination in the course of vertebral deformation treatment.
