FIELD: cosmetology. SUBSTANCE: the suggested innovation deals with cosmetic composition as hair styling and hair fixation gel containing, in cosmetically acceptable foundation, (a) at least, one fixing film-forming polymer chosen out of branched block-copolymers containing as main monomers, at least, one C₁-C₃₀-alkylacrylate and/or, at least, one N-mono- or N,N- diC₂-C₁₂alkyl)(meth)acrylamide and acrylic and/or methacrylic acid; (b) at least, one thickening agent chosen out of combined or uncombined homopolymers and copolymers based upon (meth)acrylic acid; and (c) at least, one supplementary thickening chosen out of noncellulose thickening polymers distinct from (b). Specific combination of thickening polymers enables to avoid gel's thinning and deterioration of its consumers' properties for hair styling and hair fixation.
