FIELD: restoring operations, namely restoration of highly worn surfaces of shafts. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of using as restoring material polymerization adhesive composition molded on restored surface by means of molding member for providing predetermined shape and size of restored part; dividing restored surface along its lengthwise axis at least by three sectors; determining wear value along part axis in each sector; securing to worn surface of each sector spacer whose thickness corresponds to wear degree of surface in each sector; using as molding member sleeve with opening size corresponding to size of already restored part onto which spacers are secured; introducing polymerization adhesive composition into cavities formed by surface of part to be restored, inner surface of sleeve and spacers; before introducing adhesive composition, determining volume of said cavities; selecting polymerization adhesive composition for each cavity in such a way that as volume of cavity increases viscosity of adhesive composition also is increased.
