FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fuel and lubricating materials and additional. Catalytically-active surface is formed on clean parts of internal combustion engine located in zone of combustion. Engine should be new, with little number of operating house or it can be made to modern design with low discharge of exhaust gases. Backing or coating is applied to surface of combustion chamber to create heat barrier with large specific area and capability of keeping surface temperature at not less than 450oC. Zirconium dioxide, silicon dioxide and oil ash can be used as backing or coating material. Catalytically active component, for instance platinum or iron is applied by dispersing into volume or onto backing surface in zone of combustion. For this purpose submicron particles of iron from ferrocene or submicron particles of platinum can be used. Catalytic activity is preserved by continuous delivery of low concentration product-catalyst preceder into fuel mixture. EFFECT: formation of high quality and reliable catalytically active film on surfaces of combustion chamber. 15 cl, 4 tbl, 2 ex, 2 dwg
