FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: electrode includes electrically conducting material having the surface which is capable of providing combination dispersion of incident light, which is intensified with the surface, from material-adsorbate adsorbed on electrode surface. Adsorbate is sufficiently reducible and is not sufficiently oxidable. Electrode surface can be micro rough and can include for example a lot of adatoms or clusters of adatoms of metal material. Adatoms or adatom clusters form sections for photocatalysis of electrolytic reduction when electrode is exposed to light source. Invention also deals with the manufacturing method of such electrode and electricity generation method by using such electrode. In compliance with other aspect of invention the fuel element including the electrode as per invention is provided.

EFFECT: higher electrochemical efficiency.
