FIELD: machine elements; drives for automatic control systems in space engineering. SUBSTANCE: proposed electric drive has housing with the following members mounted inside it: electric motor, reduction gear from n (n= 1,2. . .) gear wheel trains, output shaft, main hysteresis brake, additional hysteresis brake and shaft in bearings mounted in housing of main hysteresis brake. Gear wheel is rigidly mounted on housing of main hysteresis brake. Gear is mounted on shaft of main hysteresis brake. Main hysteresis brake is located in kinematic chain between electric motor and output shaft. Additional hysteresis brake is rigidly connected to housing of electric drive by its housing; one of gear trains is rigidly mounted on its shaft. EFFECT: enhanced stability of holding output shaft of electric drive in case of absence of power at its motor. 1 dwg
