PROCEDURE ESTABLISHING MASS FUEL RESERVE ABOARD MANEUVERING AIRCRAFT Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: aviation. SUBSTANCE: values of fuel mass Mo in underwing, wing and fuselage tanks, that is, in tanks of correspondingly first, second and third sequence of consumption as well as value of fuel mass mli in each underwing tank are entered into storage of airborne computer. Mass m3 of fuel in fuselage tanks is computed with the use of function depending on their geometric characteristics, on level and characteristic parameters ( temperature, static and dynamic dielectric permittivity ) of fuel. Mass mn of fuel consumed from wing tanks is computed by means of function depending on characteristic parameters of fuel in these tanks and measured momentary consumption. Value mn. is established more accurately at moment of jettisoning of each underwing tank. Difference m2 between amount of filled fuel ( for refueling ( /Mo+m/) ) and more accurate value mn is computed. With m2≥m3 mass m2 is indicated as fuel reserve M aboard aircraft and with m2<m3 mass m3 is indicated. EFFECT: more accurate measurement of fuel mass during overloads and space evolutions of aircraft and in process of aircraft refueling. 3 cl, 1 dwg
