FIELD: high-frequency electrothermy. SUBSTANCE: proposed method designed for protecting personnel attending induction heating installations using high-frequency currents against electric shock in case of direct contact with running inductor or indirect contact, for example with workpiece being heated that might accidentally come in contact with inductor involves use of current- conducting buses for recording differential leakage current and for deenergizing inductor in case this current exceeds permissible value in emergency situations; permissible value of differential leakage current is chosen considering desired electric safety for personnel and depends on frequency of power supply. EFFECT: enhanced electric safety in operation; reduced operating time of protective gear. 1 cl
